AFTER  Block by Block is a solutions-based, relationship-building approach that identifies and assists neighborhoods that want to come back to life. The program builds on the tremendous work already done by block, providing resources to make each property on the block fully habitable. The organization reached its 2009 goal of rehabilitating eight blocks by the end of the year. It plans to renovate an additional 16 blocks in 2010. The Mission: The mission of Block by Block is to rebuild, re-energize and revitalize Cedar Rapids neighborhoods one block at a time. Core Values: Block by Block is a solutions-based, relationship-building approach that, with honesty, integrity, and compassion, assists neighbors. Honesty: Operating in a truthful and open manner.
